Mark 5: 25-34
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years..
And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse.
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
For she said, if I may but touch his clothes I shall be whole.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up, nd she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press and said who touched my clothes.
And his disciples said unto him, thou seeth the multitudes thronging thee, and sayesth thou who touched me?
And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her came and fell down before him and told him all the truth.
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made the whole, go in peace and be whole of thy plague.
We serve a God of all impossibility and He cannot change. what God did thousand years ago, He still does now and He can still do it again. He only need you and I to believe. The text we read now is not new to us but I want us to learn a few things from this woman with the issue of blood.
The bible said”she heard of Jesus coming into town” and she made a decision, she took advantage of that opportunity,she knew it was her last resort, doctors could not help in her situation, but Jesus did.
What have you done with the things you have been hearing about Jesus Christ, the word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.. .., and she said to herself”if only I can touch the helm of His garment….., I believe many people who we’re there, were waiting for Jesus to touch them, or their case to be mentioned, she was desperate for a change, she was determined that it’s either He touches me or I touch Him, remember Jesus was in town for a different reason but this woman by faith took a step that changed her story forever.
What is that thing that has proved impossible in your life, make a decision today, something is about to happen, Jesus is here , Jesus is in town and He can change your story. Touch Him by any means, just let there be a touch, you can touch Him by going into a period of time to worship Him as many days as you are lead, by your seeds, service in the house of God, or by fervent praise etc. Your contact with Jesus today will bring a total change in your life, you are next to testify, in Jesus name Amen.
